BYUN Young-joo filmed documentaries with PURN production and Docufactory Vista. The Murmuring(1995) is a pioneering film because it was the first documentary film to be released in the theater. Then BYUN went on to finish the trilogy by making The Habitual Sadness 2(1997) and My Own Breathing(1999). In 2002, BYUN made her first feature film Ardor. Then BYUN directed Flying Boys(2004) and Helpless(2012). BYUN is currently working on her fourth feature film.
During his college years, KIM Jungki was one of the leading figures of the unification movement. KIM started his acting career in the mid-1990s and has worked with different directors, including IM Chang-jae and LEE Jisang. KIM showed remarkable performance when he played KIM Seon-myeong, an unconverted long-term political prisoner, in The Road Taken directed by HONG Ki-seon. Since then, KIM has played various roles in the fields of film, theater, and TV dramas.
Ansgar VOGT studied at Humboldt University Berlin, Goldsmiths College, University of London and New York University/Tisch School of the Arts, graduating from the department of Performance Studies. Since 2004 he has worked as a programmer at Berlin International Film Festival/Forum section. Besides, he works as a producer, content developer, and screenplay writer for German film production companies. In 2007, he taught film analysis and scenario development at the Sungkyunkwan University as a guest lecturer and scholar of German Academic Exchange Service, DAAD.
