Ifrah makes the extraordinary journey out of war-torn Somalia and arrives in Dublin, Ireland. She reacts incredibly quickly, learns English at breakneck speed and unearths an enviable technical talent for harnessing social media. She quickly becomes a leading activist against gender-based violence.

Ifrah, a refugee from war-torn Somalia in 2006 finally settles down in Ireland. She receives her first medical examination and discovers that she is the victim of female genital mutilation. Amid the confusion and hardship, she becomes an international activist against gender-based discrimination and female genital mutilation. Based on the true story of Ifrah Ahmed, a Somalian women’s human rights activist, the film stars Aja Naomi King, known for TV shows How to get away with murder.
