Program Note

This film is a documentary directed by Pierre-Olivier François, focusing on the modern and contemporary history of the Korean Peninsula. It took 3 years to persuade the North Korean government before being able to include archive film footage and interviews with high-rank officials from North Korea. Based on the relevant information collected from all around the world, the film tells a history of the Korean Peninsula from the third-person point of view in an easy-to-understand manner. It is an interesting film that allows you to grasp the overall situation changing over more than 100 years of history in the Korean Peninsula at one glance.
