A rural hospital in 1990. Its staff Woosik and Jaegoo get a mission—they need to go to a delinquent patient¡¯s home and take his bank book. They also need to bring the patient¡¯s daughter in. It may not seem like a challenging task, but the two hesitate. The patient has AIDS, the supposedly contact-transmissible disease. They are concerned they will come in contact with the patient¡¯s daughter. Although it may seem like a boisterous comedy all around, Sick demonstrates how ignorance causes terror. The era where AIDS was considered as a 100% fatal epidemic. It becomes a group hysteria. Awarded with Jury¡¯s Special Award at this year¡¯s Jeonju International Film Festival.
