A general hospital in Gyeongsang-do in 1990. Woosik and Jaegoo are working at the hospital as a receptionist. One day, an AIDS patient enters the hospital. Woosik and Jaegoo are instructed to bring the bankbook and the young aughter(Taebun) from the home of the AIDS patient who did not pay for the hospital. They head to Taebun's house in fear of getting AIDS…

A rural hospital in 1990. Its staff Woosik and Jaegoo get a mission—they need to go to a delinquent patient’s home and take his bank book. They also need to bring the patient’s daughter in. It may not seem like a challenging task, but the two hesitate. The patient has AIDS, the supposedly contact-transmissible disease. They are concerned they will come in contact with the patient’s daughter. Although it may seem like a boisterous comedy all around, Sick demonstrates how ignorance causes terror. The era where AIDS was considered as a 100% fatal epidemic. It becomes a group hysteria. Awarded with Jury’s Special Award at this year’s Jeonju International Film Festival.
