Program Note
A young girl disguised in ISIS uniform tries to escape from a car trunk. She is one of the 3,000 Yazidi women kidnapped in Mosul and sold as sex slaves by IS in 2014. The only way for her to break free from the ruins of war and dead bodies is to use a military vehicle set on explosives. Mosul 980 follows a woman willing to survive despite the miserable situation she is in while showing her fear and sadness just as they are.
