Program Note

Hyewon is demoted and dispatched to a branch office from the HQ. A branch employee Hyeonje’s mission is to make her quit. Perfectly isolated, Hyewon is like an office ghost. She makes a radical decision at last, and the office goes through a turmoil, but gets back to its routine soon after. After Hours attempts to reflect the air of the office as a space. It portrays this place where those who follow orders and manuals survive and the misfits are expelled—a frigid yet undeniable truth. A tenacious gaze into the cold-blooded violence. This is an important virtue of this film.
